One of my favorite bloggers – Oh Joy – posted the image above to her blog the other day and while she wasn’t referring to fitness at the time, I think this image is completely appropriate for all aspects of life.
If you’ve pledged to make 2014 the year to work on your fitness, I hope you’re still on the horse, or perhaps you could take some time this weekend to get back in the groove! Believe me when I say I know it’s hard. I spend literally the entire day before a workout building myself up to it.
Personally, I’ve been attempting to walk 10,000+ steps per day (which I keep track of with my Fitbit Force – see the recall notice), and this week I began Week 3 of Couch to 5K. Let me tell you – I hate running, but I keep going and I feel so accomplished when it’s over! I’ve been in a ton of pain though due to years of inactivity, and am just now getting to the point I don’t feel like an invalid the day after jogging a measly 9 minutes.
My goals for next week are to drink more water and start doing some mild exercise/stretching on my C25K off days.
