There are a lot of deals on sites for gorgeous gold leaf prints that you can print from home and I’ve always wondered how the designers accomplished that effect. I know my way around Photoshop but I’m by no means a professional and so while I’m sure this is something that one can learn, I never took the time to figure it out.
Now I never will because an artist on Creative Market is offering a Photoshop download of the layers that one needs to create the gold leaf effect shown above! Combine these effects with some beautiful fonts to make your own awesome signs and prints!
This Today I Choose Joy Print costs $9 at Etsy, and appears to utilize the exact same gold leaf technique as the artist is quick to note that this is not actually a foil print – it just has that look!
Requirements: In order to use the Gold Leaf Foil tool, one must own Photoshop CS3 and above (NOT Elements).
The Gold Leaf Press Photoshop download is available for $15 at Creative Market.
Lena Dunham’s new book, Not That Kind of Girl, was just released but you can already pick it up for just $4.99 for Kindle!
Synopsis: In Not That Kind of Girl, Dunham illuminates the experiences that are part of making one’s way in the world: falling in love, feeling alone, being ten pounds overweight despite eating only health food, having to prove yourself in a room full of men twice your age, finding true love, and most of all, having the guts to believe that your story is one that deserves to be told.
Amazon tends to change the prices of their Kindle books quickly, so if you’re interested I would grab this one before the price goes up!

You don’t need a Kindle to download and read Kindle books (although I love my Kindle Paperwhite!). Download the free Kindle Reading App to use on your computer, tablet, or smart phone.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will spend the month of October last year highlighting some of the stores that are running special promotions to raise funds for breast cancer and other cancer-specific charities. With the purchase of any of the items we highlight over the course of this month a portion of the proceeds will be donated to various breast cancer charities.
Instead of a one-month campaign, Elaine Turner launched a breast cancer awareness initiative this month that will span through September 2015. During this time, the company will donate a portion of all sales of the Bella Clutch and the Wrap Bracelets (pictured above) to the Cancer Support Community as part of the Elaine Turner Gives initiative.
The Wrap Bracelet is available in pink and black leather and costs $85. The gold hardware is a very subtle breast cancer ribbon. 50% of the profits from the sale of each bracelet will be donated to the Cancer Support Community.
Be sure to check out more Breast Cancer Awareness Month offers, most of which are only good during the month of October.
Fantastic news! The editors over at the PopSugar Must Have Box have just announced that they’re bringing back one of their most popular special-edition boxes, the PopSugar Must Have Neiman Marcus Box! This box has been curated by Neiman Marcus Fashion Director Ken Downing and POPSUGAR Editor in Chief Lisa Sugar.
This box is not for the spendthrift as it costs $250, and absolutely no details are available about what may be included. The box will ship in mid-November.
Last year’s PopSugar Must Have Neiman Marcus Box contained about $500 worth of luxury items. I passed on that box and I’ll likely pass on this year’s box. As much as I love subscription boxes, $250 is just not a price I’m comfortable spending on an assortment of surprise items.

Here’s a really awesome deal if you’re planning on doing any traveling to a Virgin America flight destination! LivingSocial is offering two different Virgin America discounts (there was a third but it already sold out):
- $15 will get you $50 to apply toward a R/T flight that’s 701-1600 miles
- $10 will get you $25 to apply toward a R/T flight that’s less than 700 miles
There are, of course, plenty of black out dates and plenty of fine print. However, if you’re planning a trip on this airline it may be worth seeing if you could possibly apply one of these discounts!
I don’t expect this offer to be around for long based on the fact that one of the vouchers already sold out, so be sure to grab one quickly if you’re interested!
