I love clothes. I’m in the mind frame that one can never have too many. Totally not frugal, I know. However, when shopping for clothes I do tend to look for certain things, such as I don’t like wearing synthetic materials, etc. So when I came across Conscious Clothing, it was a match made in Heaven!
This cap sleeve wrap dress makes me so anxious for warmer weather!
I love this color, but it’s also available in black, slate, teal, plum, chocolate, fern, sage and maple. I want one of each!
Considering wrap dresses are super flattering on everyone, this is a wardrobe necessity! And, the fact that it’s made from organic materials makes it even more appealing. I’m in love.

This Rosie the Riveter Hemp Dress is too cute for words!
I love how it’s paired with leggings and boots!
A great old time-y dress made from my 100% organic cotton stripe fabric on top and a hemp/organic cotton stars print on the bottom.

1. What made you want to start an Etsy shop?
I wanted to start an Etsy shop the minute I found Etsy!! I had been designing and making clothes for women and children and selling them locally for a few years. Etsy seemed like the natural next step for me. I jumped right in and got my first sale in less than a week! I’ve been selling since 2006 when barely anyone even knew what it was. I have watched Etsy grow and become a ever more popular as a platform for people like me to sell handmade treasures!
2. Where do you get your materials from?
I get my materials from all over the world! Most of the hemp is manufactured in China, Romania, or Canada. The Organic Cotton is grown domestically in the southern US. The dyes are manufactured in California and the Organic Wool is processed in New York. I try to make sure the materials I am using come from the most sustainably produced sources at all times. Most of the vendors are certified and follow strict rules in manufacturing.
3. What was the first item you created for your shop?
Hmmm, the first item(s) would probably be my wrap dresses and wrap skirts. The Gathering Smock was also one of my first designs for my shop.
I now have a full line of women’s clothing, as well as a few mens things and a new children’s Etsy shop:
4. What is your favorite item in your shop?
My favorite item in my shop is definitely my hand printed infinity scarves. I just started screen printing and have had so much fun with patterns and colors!
The scarves are hand dyed and then printed with water based inks. Super cozy and adorable!
Thanks, Rose! And don’t forget to use the code FANTABULOUS for 15% off!
