J. Crew Swap

I recently came across the blog J. Crew Aficionada and wanted to share with all of you a great weekly J. Crew exchange that she hosts.

She hosts forums both for people that want to part ways with some of their J. Crew, and also for people that are looking for specific items.

What a fantabulously frugal idea, whether you’re looking to buy or sell!

21 Free Songs at Urban Outfitters

Clicking on This Link will lead you the Projects section of the Urban Outfitters website, where you will be able to download 21 free songs. I have absolutely no idea who these artists are, but hey, if Indie music is your thing, these might be perfect for you. (Artists include the likes of Fever Ray, Thieves Like Us, Woolfy, and Cotton Jones, among others.)

FREE Mini Bar at Vosges Haut Chocolat

I apologize for posting this, as I know this offer isn’t applicable to everyone. But it’s too good to pass up!

Vosges Boutiques in Chicago, NYC, and Las Vegas are currently giving away a mini candy bar just for filling out a survey (in store only). From what I could tell, no purchase was necessary.

If you live in one of the aforementioned cities and haven’t checked out Vosges yet, this is a good opportunity to try their amazing products without spending a dime!

Also, if you can’t place where/why you might have heard of Vosges, I think they are best known nationally for Mo’s Bacon Bar – one of the first chocolate bars (and definitely one of the first gourmet chocolate bars) infused with that most delicious of all treats, bacon.

FREE Roastburger at Arby's

I’m not going to lie. “Roastburger” does not sound particularly appetizing to me. But I do like Arby’s Beef and Cheddar on occasion, and so because of that, I thought I’d post this coupon for a free Roastburger at Arby’s. The coupon is valid until March 14, 2009.

If you try it, please let me know if the sandwich tastes better than the name implies. 🙂

Sites We Love: Ebates

I was recently introduced to Ebates through one of my favorite blogs, These are a few of Christina’s Favorite Things. I’m not sure how I missed out on this website for so long as it combines the two things I love best: Shopping and Saving Money.

The concept of ebates is simple: You go to ebates.com when you have some shopping you need to do, and search for your retailer of choice. You click on the retailer through ebates and you are connected to the retailers website and you complete your shopping like normal. A pre-determined percentage of your purchase is refunded to you a few days after your purchase is complete.

The retailers that use ebates are quite abundant and include such companies as: Marriott (I went through and redid all of my upcoming hotel reservations so that I will now be getting 1% back per stay), Orbitz ($3 back per transaction), Hertz, Best Buy, J. Crew, Kate Spade, Bluefly, Banana Republic… and so on and so forth. There are literally hundreds of stores to choose from.

You might question whether it’s worth it for 1% back, as I noted above for Marriott. Quite simply – yes! The work you have to do is minimal and involves just a couple of extra clicks to get to the store where you want to shop. 1% is the minimal amount you can receive back and most stores offer between 2-5% back! Some that I’ve seen even go as high as 12%! And really – at the end of the day – money back is money back. 1% of a purchase refunded to you is 1% more than you would get if you didn’t go through ebates. Make sense? And as an added incentive – just for signing up you get $5. Yep, that’s right. Five free dollars!

I’ve added a link to the side of this page so that you can easily access the ebates website. All I ask is that you check it out. I really don’t think you’ll be disappointed. This is hands down my new favorite website and I refuse to shop if I’m not shopping through ebates. What better way to be fantabulous and frugal than by using this website?

Click here to check out Ebates now!!!

If you love cash back shopping, check out another fab site: ShopatHome.com!
